About Jessica

Jessica Ruff, E-RYT® 500, YACEP® teaches an empowering, dynamic yoga practice that invites personal inquiry while cultivating functional strength and mindfulness. She is passionate about sharing the process of self-realization in classes, workshops, trainings, and one-on-one. Quite simply, Jessica invites people to connect more deeply with themselves and understand their true nature.

Jessica first discovered yoga as a runner in her late 20s and quickly fell in love with the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of the practice. She completed her first 200-hour teacher training in 2013 and began teaching in 2014. Jessica went on to complete Jason Crandell’s 300-hour Advanced Teacher Training in 2020-2021 and an additional 200-hour training with Stephanie Snyder in 2021. She began studying with Annie Carpenter in 2024, completing Annie’s Advanced SmartFLOW Teacher Training in 2026 and becoming SmartFLOW certified in the same year. Jessica continues to study with both Annie and Jason.

Jessica’s signature style of practice is strength-based vinyasa steeped in functional movement. Expect more than just poses on the mat as the process of self-inquiry is the foundation for all the practices of yoga. In addition to traditional vinyasa, Jessica teaches Flow & Restore, Slow Flow, Power Flow, Yoga for Runners, and donation-based community classes.

Outside of yoga, Jessica has a BA in Psychology and an MBA. She spent over ten years in corporate marketing before pivoting in 2018 to fully invest herself in yoga. When not immersed in learning or teaching yoga, she loves to travel and spend time with her husband and beloved corgis. She served as a lululemon Ambassador for the Colonial Williamsburg store from 2022-2024 and is currently an ambassador for BHalfmoon.
